The Quad Apartments, formerly Frog Pond Apartments, has recently undergone a change in ownership, and with it comes a multitude of major changes.
The complex, which is under the umbrella of Asset Campus Housing, serves as a budget off-campus housing alternative for NSU students.
Each apartment consists of a living area, full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and four separate bedrooms each with a private bathroom.
Amenities found on site include a fitness center, tanning bed, pool, and a computer center. It is unclear whether or not any of these will be removed or upgraded in the near future.
The most prominent change is the cost of rent. While this will not affect current leases, any new or recurring signers can expect a significant increase, jumping from $420 to $530 for a room in one of the shared apartments.
Cosmetic changes are also reported to occur in the coming months, including furniture and paint in the apartments. This could mean current residents will have to remove their belongings from their apartments in order for these changes to take place.
